Project Description
Where dervish ceremonies are performed alongside soccer games and music concerts and influences of the Middle East, Mediterranean and Central Asia blend harmoniously into one
Turkey is often called the bridge between the East and West, a perfect transition between the diversity in cultures, lifestyle, cuisines and landscapes between the two continents. An amalgamation of influences from the Middle East and the Mediterranean, the Balkans and Central Asia. Mosques coexist with churches, Roman theatres and temples crumble near ancient Hittite cities, and dervish ceremonies and gypsy festivals are as much a part of the social landscape as classical music concerts or football matches.
A Turkish journey begins at Istanbul’s Grand Bazaar and the city’s exceptional culinary diversity, going on to a hot-air balloon ride in Cappadocia, visiting the ruins in Ephesus, lounging in the beaches of Bodrum and taking a Bosphorus cruise.
